Ag Information Network featured Shannon Tignor Ellis, USB farmer-leader, discussing details on Farmers for Soil Health, the collaborative partnership between the soy checkoff, the National Corn Growers Association and the National Pork Board, at the 2023 Issues Forum at NAFB Washington Watch.

“We have leveraged $95 million in grant money from USDA’s Climate-Smart Program, and that will provide value to the farmers,” says Ellis. “And they will have access to this through things like cost-share programs, technical assistance in 20 different states and a market platform that is going to connect buyers to farmers who are producing their crops sustainably.”
