Wall Street Journal: “U.S. Farmers Are Planting More Row Crops Than Ever”

Mac Marshall, vice president of market intelligence for USB and USSEC provided comments to the Wall Street Journal about how U.S. farmers are planting more row crop acres to take advantage of high agricultural prices in 2021.

Soybeans are driving the upsurge in acreage. If realized, U.S. soybean farmers will increase plantings by nearly 7 million acres over 2020, surpassing the 2017 season planting record of 90.2 million.
