Farmers for Soil Health, a new initiative of the United Soybean Board, National Corn Growers Association and National Pork Board, was recognized by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack during a speech at the American Farm Bureau Convention this week in Atlanta, Georgia.

Vilsack highlighted the initiative as part of the agency’s efforts to provide more opportunities and support climate-smart agriculture. It will enable each commodity group to achieve their industrywide goals on greenhouse gas emissions reductions while supporting their farmers in advancing resilient, productive and sustainable agriculture practices.

The announcement was featured in multiple national and regional media outlets, including Successful Farming, Agri-Pulse, Farm Progress, Brownfield Ag News, Agri Marketing, National Hog Farmer, Canadian Cattlemen, AgWired, Progressive Farmer, Delta Farm Press and RFD-TV’s “Market Day Report.”
