Checkoff Urges Farmers to Think Beyond the Elevator – at an Elevator
The United Soybean Board (USB) will partner with JBS United Feed and the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) to share information with soybean farmers about their No.1 customer, the U.S. animal agriculture sector.
USB and ISA farmer-leaders and staff will distribute information on the importance of the animal ag sector at JBS United Feed grain elevator in west central Illinois. The soybean groups will also partner with the Illinois Pork Producers Association to provide a pork lunch to farmers and farm employees delivering soybeans and other crops on Sept. 30. USB farmer-director Phil Bradshaw will discuss the importance of the poultry and livestock sectors with his fellow soybean farmers at the event.
For soybean farmers, the grain elevator serves as just the first stop on their way to important customers, such as the animal ag sector. Knowing the top customers is the first step toward producing the best possible U.S. soybeans that increase the value of every acre.
Want to see what else USB has been doing to ensure U.S. soybean farmers learn more about their No.1 customer? Take a quiz on the soybean-checkoff-funded website, www.BeyondTheElevator.com, which allows you to go beyond your local elevator and learn about the biggest user of U.S. soy.
