Thank You for Giving a Voice to Today’s Farmers

November 21, 2012

As America pauses to celebrate Thanksgiving, many consumers voice their thanks to farmers for the food adorning their dinner table. And thanks to the hard work of thousands of farmers across the U.S., now more of those consumers understand exactly how that food was grown and raised.

In the spirit of giving thanks, the soy checkoff would like to thank U.S. soybean farmers for their commitment to ensuring that farmers are included in conversations taking place about today’s food and farming. Through support of programs such as CommonGround and the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance (USFRA), farmers not only have the opportunity to share their personal experiences with consumers who are disconnected from agriculture, but their voice is amplified to reach the masses. The Center for Food Integrity (CFI), CommonGround and USFRA provide multiple resources that consumers can turn to for information on the true story of agriculture.

The programs have given farmers the opportunity to share agriculture’s great story – a story that they continue to tell because it’s not just their story, it’s America’s story. And for that, you deserve a big THANK YOU!
